Mesolongi - Galaxidi - Delfi - Athens 5 -12 October 2019

  • 5 Oct - Day 1

  • All parties arrive in Athens, suggested airport Elefterios Venizelos. A private shuttle will be available from the airport to the Hotel

  • Check in at Electra Hotel, Athens

  • Welcome dinner at the famous seafood restaurant Argoura. Notably, named one of the best innovative seafood restaurants in Greece, Chef Niko Michail, delivers scrumptious unique gourmet food, in a modest welcoming taverna style restaurant

  •  

  • 6 Oct -Day 2

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Depart for Mesolongi 

  • Check in at Hotel Liberty

  • Visit: the salt farms of the Mesolongi lagoon and be part of the process of natural sea salt collecting and making. Taste the best “fleur de sel” in the world 

  • Lunch in Tourlida fish restaurant 

  • Afternoon bird watching at Mesolongi lagoon

  • A visit to Mesolongi town and socializing

  • 7 Oct - Day 3

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Meet up the fishermen in the lagoon and join them on their fishing duties. Spend the day experiencing the rural life of Mesolongi, extract avgotaraho (bottarga fish eggs) from mallets, salt and wax them

  • Cook with the fishermen at the Palades, taste their wonderful fish and seafood together with local wines. A full day of activities, please bring appropriate clothing

  • 8 Oct - Day 4

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Visit: The Garden of Heroes and the Diexodos museum in Mesolongi

  • Drive to Galaxidi and check in at Archontiko Art Hotel

  • Have the rest of the afternoon free to rest or join us for a romantic walk through the streets of Galaxidi

  • Dinner

  •  

  • 9 Oct - Day 5

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Drive to Amfissa and visit Karagiorgos cheese factory and experience the process of cheese making and cheese tasting. 

  • Enjoy the drive to Itea and have an afternoon snack at Molos Café by the sea

  • Return to Galaxidi, socializing at the Hotel

  •  

  • 10 Oct - Day 6

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Depart from Galaxidi and visit the greatest Archaelogical Site of all times, Delphi. Take a professional guided tour through the impressive Temple of Apollo and archaeological museum, bring walking shoes

  • Drive through Arachova and have lunch in Livadeia, known for the best meat BBQs in Greece

  • Return to Athens, check in at President Hotel

  • Drinks and street food at Athens Historical center 

  •  

  • 11 Oct - Day 7

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • Take an early ferry to Aegina Island, world famous for their pistachios, and have a cooking seminar with Makis Georgiadis at Babis restaurant. Makis is the author of cooking book “My Greek Taverna” . A signed copy in English will be presented to every guest   

  • Farewell dinner at Kouzina restaurant with the best view of Parthenon by night

  • 12 Oct - day 8

  • Breakfast at hotel

  • All parties depart (transportation to the airport available)
